Chose Biga for our party of six to celebrate a milestone achievement and the experience lived up to the great reviews I’d read. Our server, Jose, was prompt, knowledgeable, witty, and warm. When my wife asked his help deciding on a wine pairing, he brought over a tasting flight to help her choose. Top-notch food and service, and we never felt rushed. Would definitely go again when in San Antonio.

We had dinner here to celebrate our anniversary and chose the 3-course dining option. The main course (2nd course) was about 3/4 the size of a regular portion, so it felt like a good deal. The 3-course menu was 49, and with two glasses of wine and a half-portion of main dish, the total came out to around 175. For the mains, we had the American red snapper, Angus beef, and lamb rack — all of which were delicious.

Very tasty food, pretty atmosphere. Excellent service, bilingual servers. The lavender cocktails wasn't my favorite but the one with gin and passion fruit was something else. They have a (build your 3 course dish) for a very fair price. We had the salad with fruit Angus, and the selection of 3 tinny different desserts. Everything was extraordinary delicious.

Amazing food! All of the flavors were so different, but melded and tasted amazing. Jose took terrific care of us. He made great suggestions and explained the food as we went along. We started with the bibb radicchio game packets and the shrimp and grits. The game packets were out of this world! Once again, the flavors! I can't even express properly. They had a rich flavor and were only handed by the sauces they are served with. Jose explained the sauces and suggested how we might like to use them. We also had the jerk shrimp and grits. I don't even like grits and I liked these! We shared the antelope and quail. Again, AMAZING!!! We were not sure the best way to have the antelope prepared, but again, Jose to the rescue! Medium rare, and boy was he on point with that rec. The antelope and the sauce it was in were perfect. The quail had an amazing smoky flavor. It is the best quail I've ever had. It was our anniversary so they put us in a quiet romantic corner with a curtain. At the end of dinner Jose brought us a berry crumble to celebrate. It was perfectly warm and crisp and not overly sweet. Everything was top notch. Can't wait to return.

Dinner at Biga on the Banks was nothing short of exceptional. The ambiance is elegant yet inviting, with a beautiful view of the River Walk that adds to the charm. The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. Every dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chef’s creative take on contemporary American cuisine is impressive, with fresh, high-quality ingredients shining through in every bite. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the sticky toffee pudding was the perfect way to end the meal. If you’re looking for a top-tier dining experience in San Antonio, Biga on the Banks is a must-visit. Can’t wait to return!

Wow! What a great place to have dinner. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is even more wonderful. We began with a cheese tray and bread basket. The bread was three varieties all moist and soft. Butter provided was whipped and served with salt on the side. I couldn’t stop eating the bread and butter it was so delicious. Followed up with the most crisp and tender salad. The greens and all the toppings were very fresh. The dressing is a vinaigrette but creamy. The entree was Beef! A tenderloin pink and juicy. Very tender. And rib eye, bone in. Also very flavorful. The red wine was Italian mountains blend. Very smooth. Easy to enjoy. Finally the desert. Oh my goodness. A triple threat of chocolate fudge and chocolate cake and a cherry crumble with whipped cream topping. The server was very professional and very polite. He enjoys his craft as he is in his 18th year. He was very good at explaining the menu and how to pair courses with each other and which wine goes well with it menu. I truly appreciate his passion and enthusiasm for Great Outstanding service. Don’t read the menu prices if you’re able and just enjoy the experience! I certainly did. Best to everyone who has ever been there.

We visited Biga over Memorial Day weekend and had a great experience. Even though we arrived a bit early, the host was able to seat us right away. We started with the Habanero Jerk Scallops and Chicken-Fried Oysters with Squid Ink Pasta — both flavorful and creative. The highlight was the 11-Spiced Venison and Quail, a long-standing dish that truly lives up to the hype. Shout out to our server, Ryan, who was kind, attentive, and made great recommendations — even offered to split the main dish for us. For dessert, we had the Sticky Toffee with Custard Sauce, which was good but a bit sweet for my taste. The atmosphere is elegant and perfect for a fine dining experience on the River Walk.

Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly, you can tell they are passionate about food! I recommend getting the wine sampler, 3 glasses of premium wine for only 25 is a steal! Also our server told us that there is free parking below the restaurant ( we had already parked in a garage) but good to know for next time we visit!
